Swachh Gaon, Swasth Jeevan: A Cleaner Village For A Healthier Life
By Maharani Lakshmibai Foundation
Cleanliness Is Not Just A Practice; It’s A Movement That Transforms Lives. Under The Initiative "Swachh Gaon, Swasth Jeevan", The Maharani Lakshmibai Foundation (MLBF) Has Taken Significant Steps Toward Creating Sustainable And Hygienic Village Communities, Especially In And Around Jhansi And Bundelkhand.
In Rural India, The Lack Of Sanitation And Awareness Often Leads To Preventable Health Issues, Poor Living Conditions, And Low Productivity. Understanding this, MLBF initiated Cleanliness Drives, Awareness Workshops, and School Hygiene Programs That Directly Impact Both Individual And Community Health.
With The Active Involvement Of Local Women, Self-help Groups, And Young Volunteers, The Foundation Has Helped Build Toilets In Over 200 Households, Promoted Waste Segregation, And Distributed Eco-friendly Sanitary Kits In Villages. The Team Also Conducts Regular Health Check-up Camps And Awareness Sessions On Topics Like Menstrual Hygiene, Clean Drinking Water, And Sustainable Waste Management.
The Heart Of This Campaign Lies In Empowering Rural Women As Health Ambassadors. Their Leadership Has Not Only Improved Sanitation In Their Homes But has also Turned Them Into Role Models In Their Communities. These Efforts Align With The Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Adding A Grassroots Layer That’s Emotionally Connected And Socially Driven.
"Swachh Gaon, Swasth Jeevan" Is More Than A Slogan—It Is A Mission To Uplift The Quality Of Rural Life By Embedding Hygiene And Health Into Daily Practices. Through Collaboration, Compassion, And Community Participation, The Maharani Lakshmibai Foundation Is Proving That Clean Villages Pave The Way To Healthy, Dignified Lives.
